Zach Silvers

Zach Silvers is a Columbia Public Schools graduate, having attended Grant Elementary, West Junior High School and Hickman High School. He now brings the perspective of a CPS parent to the board, with his own children attending CPS. With a background working in higher education for 20 years, Zach has a wealth of experience and understanding about public education. He has served as an admissions officer and development director at Washington University in St. Louis and has led the advancement office at University of Missouri Health Care. He currently serves as the senior executive director of development at the City of Hope, a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center. Zach has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington University in St. Louis.

Zach joined the CPSF board in 2024. “What I appreciate about CPS is that it is an excellent public school system that prepares students in mid-Missouri – including my children – to pursue their dreams and achieve their ambitions,” he says. “I appreciate the additional value CPSF can add to the educational opportunities available to all students in the district.”
