CPSF ANNOUNCES OFFICERS
(COLUMBIA, MO) – The Columbia Public Schools Foundation (CPSF) is pleased to announce its 2019 officers.
The 2019 CPSF Board of Directors officers are Cindy Mustard, president; Abe Bahadori, president-elect; Sally Silvers, secretary; Tom Rose, treasurer; and Lynn Barnett, past president.
Mustard will serve a two-year term as CPSF president. She is co-owner of Tiger Trolley Tours and is the former executive director of Voluntary Action Center in Columbia. A Columbia native, Mustard attended the University Lab School, Jefferson Junior High School, and Hickman High School, and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
“I was fortunate to receive such an excellent academic background in Columbia Public Schools that prepared me for college over 50 years ago,” said Mustard. “I am proud to serve as president of CPSF to work to ensure that today’s students continue to receive the very best educational opportunities.”
Outgoing board members were also recognized for their service to the Foundation. Les Borgmeyer, Sondra Flaker, Jenn Book Haselswerdt and Nyle Klinginsmith were recognized for their contributions.
The Columbia Public Schools Foundation is a private foundation established in 1996 by community volunteers dedicated to the enrichment of public education through community giving. The Foundation has funded projects in every school, allocating more than $1.2 million to enhance education in the Columbia Public Schools. CPSF has supported teachers and students for more than 22 years.
